To me this quote talks about the stage in
life when Mickey Mantle grew up. This was a conversation
with his father after the yankees sent him down
to the minor leagues. Mantle was very young living on
his own for the first time. His father didnt baby him
after he said that, and Mantle realized he has to suck it up
and be on his own.
