"Worrying about my job is not my responsibility; it's God's,
My job is to coach."(185)
Tony Dungy is saying that he is a Christian and that he puts
his life in God's hands. His job isn't to worry about his job, he
trusts that God will take care of that.

I have learned alot about Tony Dungy. He is a strong African-American Christian, and when he puts his mind on something, it gets done. I have learned that if you put your faith in God, then anything is possible.

Anthony Kevin "Tony" Dungy was born October 6, 1955. He is a former professional American football player and the current head coach of the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League. Prior to that, between 1996 and 2001, he was the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He became the first African American head coach to win the Super Bowl when his Colts defeated the Chicago Bears on February 4, 2007

"If this is what it takes to win every week, I'm not sure that I want it. It's not worth it."(187)
Simeon Rice was a player with great tallent. The only problem was that he didn't use it to it's full potential. In the end, Simeon does use his talent to the best of his ability.

"Life will never be the same again, but you won't always feel like you do right now."(249) When a person in your family dies, especially your son, you are at a low if not the lowest point in your life. The good thing is, you will never feel like that again. you can't get any worse than that, so the only direction to go is up.

"The city of Tampa, our home, stood up for us once again-- this time with a different kind of ovation."(249) Usually the city of Tampa gave them an ovation for winning a game, but now they get an ovation because they care about them alot.

"Hug them every chance you get. And for you kids-- I know there are a number of you here today who are thirteen, fourteen, fifteen-- maybe your parents are starting to seem a little old-fashioned, and maybe they won't let you do some of the things you want to do. Just know, when that happens, that they still love you and care about you very much. And those old-fashioned things will start making sense pretty soon."(254-255)
Even though your parents won't let you do certain things, they still love you. Hug your parents every chance you get, because you never know when you might see them last, or when you might get your last hug. Don't take any moment with them for granted, because it might be your last.
"Coach, you're big time to this city." "No,Edge. Tampa is big time to me."(256)
Edgerrin James tells Tony that he is big time to this city, but Tony says that the city is big time to him. he says that the city means more to him than he does to the city. He is married to Lauren, and has two daughters, Tiara and Jade, and four sons, Jaime, Eric, Jordan, and Justin.
